AgriFood Skills International Fellowships
AgriFood Skills Australia has advised us that applications for two international agrifood fellowships will close on September 7, 2009. The fellowships are valued at $10,000 each and are being made available to all sectors of the agrifood industry in collaboration with the International Specialised Skills Institute.
Click here for the application form.
Successful applicants each receive a maximum of $10,000 towards overseas travel costs, such as airfares, accommodation, living allowance and course fees. The fellowships seek to promote the acquisition of higher-level skills and an appreciation of international best practice and they will encourage the examination of innovative approaches being taken overseas. They would need to be applicable to the agrifood industry in Australia.
The fellowships are available for people working in urban, rural and regional areas:
• Rural and related industries (includes horticulture, conservation and land management and animal care)
• Food processing industry (includes wine, beverages and pharmaceuticals)
• Meat industry
• Seafood industry
• Racing industry
The AgriFood Skills International Fellowship is an initiative under the ISS Institute 'Overseas Skills Acquisition Plan (Overseas Fellowships)’ and is fully funded by AgriFood Skills Australia.
