Working together as one industry, one voice
The 2009 Nursery & Garden Industry National Conference & Exhibition, held at Canberra, will be an experience not to be missed. Preceded by the first ever, ground breaking Urban GreenScapes Symposium and with a conference makeover like never before, delegates will be provided with the solutions and the tools to create a sustainable future - working together as one industry, one voice.
The nursery & garden industry is hosting the inaugural Urban GreenScapes Symposium, February 17, 2009, to unveil the benefits of plants and green-life in the urban landscape and bring together all stakeholder groups to drive unity of message and create a stronger platform on which to inform government.
With international speakers, the Symposium will position the industry as a key stakeholder and leader in the global warming debate, with the aim of getting urban green-life on the political agenda for Kyoto Mark II and carbon trading schemes.
The 2009 Nursery & Garden Industry Conference, Ingredients for a Brighter Future, on February 18 to 19, will explain the implications of the Green Symposium for our industry, empowering the people of the industry to move forward into the future to utilise the opportunities that come their way.
The Conference features a new compact format, aimed at unifying retailers, growers and allied traders. This includes international speakers who will be unveiling key industry points from the Symposium.
Brian Merrick of Gardens R Us says there is no excuse for plant retailers to miss the conference. “The location and timing are superb and the programme is relevant and stimulating.”
On the evening of February 18, the celebration of the best of the best will take place with the Nursery & Garden Industry Awards Gala Dinner. Held at the impressive venue of the Great Hall, Parliament House, guests will enjoy an entertaining evening of fine food and wine.
Throughout the Symposium & Conference, a vast array of exhibitors will be showcasing their latest product releases and innovations. The exhibition will give delegates the opportunity to compile a wide range of competitive information on products and suppliers in a concentrated period of time.
