Who do you think should win a Nursery & Garden Industry Award?
If you’ve ever wanted to shout out to the industry about an outstanding business or person, here’s your chance. Entries are now open for the 2009 Nursery & Garden Industry Awards, and you can either enter yourself, or nominate a business or individual that you think is worthy of winning an award.
Especially make sure you look out for nominees for the 2009 Young Leader Award. Open to nursery and garden industry members who are under 35 years of age, this award is judged on personal achievements, commitment to training and best practice in the industry. A nomination or win of this award encourages those industry youths who are already ahead of their game to keep on striving. It means they stand up and are noticed in the industry, provides official recognition for their hard work, and often helps open up career prospects.
You can find the secondary nomination form in the entry kit or on the Awards website www.ngia.com.au/awards. Once you’ve sent in your form, the nominated business or individual will receive a letter inviting them to enter the Awards. However, it must be noted that this does not automatically enter your nominee – they need to complete the submission process before they progress to judging.
The Award winners will be announced at 2009 National Conference at Canberra in February.
Get your entries in now. Nominations close Monday 21 July, 2008
