Biosecurity Deed update
Plant Health Australia held a meeting on May 29 in Melbourne to review key issues relating to the Biosecurity Deed, with Robert Prince representing NGIA. The meeting had a presentation by the Chief Vet of Victoria on how Equine Influenza was kept out of the State of Victoria. The key learnings will be utilised in developing potential Incursion strategies by the Plant Industry. This group is very important as it covers all plant based industries, State Government representatives and Federal Government representatives.
