Merger of rural training packages - update
The Rural Production (RTE03), Amenity Horticulture (RTF03) and Conservation and Land Management (RTD03) Training Packages are being merged into a single training package (AHC08).
For over 18 months the Agri-foods Industry Skills Council has been consulting with industry to create a merged package that reflects all that is required by the various agri-foods sectors.
The due date of final feedback for each industry sector was 30 June 08 and this feedback is now being reviewed by AFISC. For those of you who took part in the discussions, your input was much appreciated.
AFISC advise that all issues will be addressed by end of July and will release a position paper by that date. Meanwhile AFISC will be engaging with all State training authorities and working on the endorsement process. This process does not include the additional activities AFISC are currently working on including information and learning materials and other support systems for the new training package.
