Entries now open for the 2009 Nursery & Garden Industry Awards

The 2009 Nursery & Garden Industry Awards open for entries on May 19, 2008 and will once again provide a sturdy benchmark of excellence of which industry businesses and professionals strive to achieve.

Jeff Cooke of Ramm Botanicals says the awards are an acknowledgement of good performance and the hard work of both individuals and teams.

“Ramm Botanicals won several awards in 2008 and the exposure has been great for the company. Entering the awards is an excellent opportunity for every business in the industry to reflect on its achievements.”

The entries for the 2009 Awards close July 21, 2008. This year garden centres and production nurseries can view the onsite judging criteria via online access. This criteria will be available from July 22, 2008. Entrants will now receive more detailed feedback from onsite visits including their score against national category averages.

Businesses are encouraged to enter one or more of the following categories to celebrate their success:

• Best Small, Medium or Large Garden Centre
• Best Small, Medium or Large Production Nursery
• Environment Award
• Community Award
• Training Award
• Export Award
• Supplier Award
• Young Leader Award
