Maggie and Sarah join the NGIA team
Two new recruits have joined the NGIA team this month, Maggie Hughes and Sarah McMahon.
Maggie replaces Bex Davies as executive assistant to NGIA's CEO. She comes from an administration and secretarial background, working for the past 10 years in the materials testing industry and occupational health and safety, and prior to that in the not-for-profit sector.
Maggie says she is delighted to have joined such a motivated team of people.
“I really look forward to what the future holds with NGIA and the work that I will be doing.”
Sarah McMahon replaces Inga Ting as publications and web coordinator. Sarah comes from New Zealand with a degree in communication studies along with journalism experience. Her most recent role was communications executive for another Australian association.
Sarah says she is really excited to be working in an industry that she feels passionate about.
“As a journalist I worked on a semi-rural paper, and loved dealing with growers and their ‘down to earth’ attitude, as well as getting involved in the environmental issues that surround the industry."
