Eden Gardens wins at 2007 True Local Business Awards
Youth Off The Streets Morning Tea Invitation: 26th September 2007
Eden Gardens and Garden Centre was recently named the winner of the Home and Garden Retail category in the Cumberland Newspaper 2007 True Local Business Awards. By coming in ahead of other finalists in the category, such as Taffa’s Mitre 10 Hardware and Trend Interiors, Eden was recognised for outstanding success in local business. This is the second time Eden has won the prestigious award.
The True Local Business Awards unite the local community, encouraging community growth and development by recognising the success and potential of local businesses. There are several stages in the awards judging process:
- Nominations by the local community through each Cumberland newspaper and online.
- Completion of a business questionnaire by the top successfully nominated businesses in each category, which is then reviewed by a panel of reputable judges including a member of the NSW Government, Council and a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
- Assessment of all finalists on customer service, product quality and presentation by an independent mystery shopper.
As part of the commitment Eden Gardens shows to supporting its chosen charities and the local community, the business will host a fundraising morning tea for Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets on Wednesday 26th September at 10am.
The morning tea will feature Father Chris Riley speaking of his work with youth and entertainment by the Youth Off The Streets Vocal Group. There also will be raffles, books and Christmas cards for purchase and of course, a lovely morning tea. Profits go to Youth Off The Streets and all are invited to attend – please RSVP to (02) 9491 9900 or reception@edengardens.com.au. We hope to see you there.
