Pathways to Rural Leadership demonstrate your leadership potential
Are you aged 18 to 35 years?
Do you currently work in an agricultural, fisheries, forestry or related industry (e.g. natural resource management, food processing)?
Are you motivated to take on greater representational and professional responsibilities within your industry in the future?
If the answer is yes to all three, then we encourage you to apply for the next Pathways to Rural Leadership Course held in Canberra from 6-9 August 2007.
Around 20 up-and-coming leaders who have the potential to play stronger leadership roles in their industry will be selected to participate in a course aimed at building up their leadership potential.
Selected participants will put their knowledge and skills into practice in an interactive course environment that brings expert presenters and industry speakers together.
As a participants, you will further:

Develop your ability to respond to and influence policy

Refine your communication skills to influence change, negotiate key outcomes and represent your industry in decision-making forums and publicly

Enhance your understanding of industry and government frameworks, and
-
Learn how to lead, manage and obtain industry goals as well as your own personal development goals.
Last but not least, you’ll put your networking skills into practice and create important contacts with current industry and government leaders.
