Get ready – entries for the 2008 Yates Nursery & Garden Industry Awards open this month
The 2008 Yates Nursery & Garden Industry Awards, opening 23 April, will again provide a benchmark for excellence within the industry and continue to honour the exceptional performance of the industry’s best.
A new streamlined entry process has been developed as a result of feedback from the 2007 program. Next year’s process will feature a new look Entry Kit with everything you need to know to enter the Awards, including a mock submission to use as a guide.
2008 will also see the introduction of the inaugural Export Award, open to all industry businesses exporting a nursery and garden product including greenlife and allied garden products, horticultural services, industry technology and plant breeder rights.
For the first time industry members will have the chance to nominate an individual or business they think is worthy of winning an Award. Nominated businesses will be encouraged to complete the entry requirements.
Businesses are encouraged to enter one or more of the following categories to celebrate their success:
- Best Small, Medium or Large Garden Centre sponsored by Yates
- Best Small, Medium or Large Production Nursery sponsored by Yates
- Environment Award
- Community Award sponsored by OAMPS
- Training Award sponsored by Certified Nursery Professional
- Supplier Award sponsored by Outdoor Design Source
- Export Award
- Young Leader Award sponsored by Yates
