Sprout your sales this spring with Josh Byrne a growing success
The ‘Win Josh Byrne for a day’ competition is just over halfway through and has already been a huge success.
The competition was designed to drive business into garden centres by giving customers the opportunity to win Josh Byrne for the day. Garden centres paid $100 to participate and in return got point of sale material to help drive the competition, as well as their name listed in Gardening Australia magazine.
Already 1508 customer entries have been received, which is 650% more than the standard entry number for Gardening Australia magazine competitions. This equates to $61,147 for the program or about $600 per garden centre involved. At a $100 investment, this is an excellent result at a 500% return.
Jacqui Gibbs, NGIA Marketing & Communications Manager, says the campaign results are great news for the Industry and shows that a small investment can go a long way. “On average, each participating garden centre has already made six times what it put into the campaign. NGIA will look at doing a similar sort of promotion next year and we hope to get even more garden centres taking part.”
The ‘Win Josh Byrne for a day’ competition ends in January 2010. The winner will be announced in Gardening Australia magazine in April.
